Wilson County, NC (December 06, 2024) – Four people were killed in a tragic wrong-way crash on US 301 near Mobley Rd, just outside Lucama, at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lanes of US 301 when it collided head-on with another car traveling north. The impact caused the wrong-way vehicle to burst into flames, and the other car overturned, careening off the right shoulder of the road.
