Sherman, TX (October 20, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred Friday afternoon, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old motorcyclist. The incident took place just after 2 p.m. on FM-1417, located west of US-75, and involved a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Clayton Oleckninche, sustained major injuries from the crash. He was initially transported by ambulance to Texoma Medical Center before being flown to Medical City Plano for further treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, Clayton succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities reported that the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident did not sustain any injuries. The Sherman Police Department’s Critical Accident Investigation Team (CAIT) is currently leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
