Midland, TX (October 17, 2024) – A serious rollover incident occurred early Thursday morning, resulting in two women being transported to Midland Memorial Hospital. The Midland Police Department responded to the crash along the 10000 block of State Highway 191 at approximately 2:15 a.m.
According to a press release from the Midland Police Department, the driver, identified as 32-year-old Nolbert Camilo Marrero, reported that he became distracted while driving. This distraction caused him to veer off the main lanes of Highway 191 into the center median. After overcorrecting, Marrero re-entered the main lanes but lost control of the vehicle, which then entered the south median and began to roll. The vehicle rolled across the south service road and into a nearby field.
During the incident, two women were ejected from the 2008 Ford F150 and sustained serious injuries. They were promptly transported to Midland Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
The Midland Police Department indicated that charges of intoxication assault are pending against Marrero, who is from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
