Yuma, AZ (September 26, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred Thursday morning when a 75-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 32nd Street and 15th Avenue. According to the Yuma Police Department (YPD), officers were alerted to the crash around 6:45 a.m.
Reports indicate that a 25-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic eastbound on 32nd Street when the elderly pedestrian attempted to cross the road and was hit by the vehicle. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the 75-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
