Yaphank, NY (October 22, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Sunday, October 20, resulting in the death of Nassau Supreme Court Justice Dawn Jimenez-Salta. The incident took place just after 5:30 p.m. on the Long Island Expressway, where the motorcycle she was riding on collided with a car near Exit 68.
Reports indicate that Justice Jimenez-Salta, 60, was riding as a passenger on a 2007 Harley-Davidson operated by 65-year-old Frederick Fischer of Bay Shore. The motorcycle collided with a Lexus, causing the car to lurch forward into an Audi. Justice Jimenez-Salta was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue but unfortunately did not survive her injuries.
