Woodstock, NH (February 21, 2025) – A Massachusetts man sustained serious injuries in a snowmobile crash in Woodstock on Thursday evening.
According to New Hampshire Fish and Game, officers received a report of the accident at approximately 6:11 p.m. The crash occurred on Jack-O-Lantern South Drive as the rider attempted to cross Route 3.
The victim, identified as 43-year-old Philip Chadwell of Scituate, Massachusetts, lost control of his snowmobile and struck a snowbank, resulting in a significant leg injury. Emergency responders transported Chadwell by ambulance to Littleton Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that Chadwell was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed and alcohol were not considered contributing factors in the accident.
