Winston-Salem, NC (December 5, 2024) – A man has died following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday, around 2:11 PM, in the 2500 block of Clemmonsville Road.
Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene, where they found that three vehicles were involved. Upon investigation, it was determined that an eastbound Mercury, driven by 82-year-old Larry Griffin, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Dodge and a Ford. Tragically, Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the Ford was unharmed in the crash. Local authorities are investigating the incident, and the Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is leading the inquiry.
