Winchester, CA (January 22, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision occurred Tuesday morning on state Route 79 near Domenigoni Pkwy, leaving two individuals injured, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash was reported shortly after 8:15 a.m. and involved a Toyota Camry, a Tesla, and a Volkswagen Jetta.
CHP Officer Jonathan Torres stated that a 45-year-old Murrieta man was driving his Toyota Camry northbound on SR-79 when he collided with the rear of a Tesla driven by a 38-year-old woman. The impact caused the Tesla to be pushed into a Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a 23-year-old man.
Emergency responders provided care to those injured in the collision. The Camry driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The Tesla driver sustained minor injuries, including a reported knee injury. The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta was reportedly uninjured.
