Wilson County, TN (September 7, 2024) – A catastrophic multi-vehicle crash on HWY 109 led to a double fatality yesterday afternoon, causing significant traffic delays. The incident involved a high-speed collision around the 5700 block of HWY 109, initially reported just after 12:30 p.m. Fredrick Miler, 78, and Edna Miler, 76, were both killed in the crash; they were in a Ford Ranger that was struck head-on by a Nissan Titan.
The Nissan had first rear-ended a Lexus RX3, which was waiting to turn left onto Northern Rd. Both vehicles involved came to rest in the southbound lanes, while the Lexus was halted in a northbound lane. Traffic was heavily impacted in both directions, leading to extended delays. Charges against the Nissan Titan driver are pending as the Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the sequence of events leading to this tragedy.
