Wichita, KS (November 11, 2024) – A fatal crash early Monday morning on the Kansas Turnpike claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured. The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near 87th Street South, south of Haysville.

Following the accident, the northbound lanes of the Kansas Turnpike were closed at exit 33 near Mulvane, with traffic detoured to U.S. Highway 81. Southbound traffic was also temporarily affected.
