According to Wichita Police Lt. Brandon Lenzi, the car was traveling north on Maize Road while the motorcycle was heading south when the collision happened. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash to determine which vehicle crossed into the opposing lane.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver of the car was not injured. Both lanes of Maize Road were temporarily blocked as police conducted their investigation.
