Whited Twp, MN (September 15, 2024) – A traffic incident on eastbound Hwy 23 resulted in multiple non-life-threatening injuries at 3:07 PM. A Ford F150, attempting to cross the highway to Sherwood St, was struck by an eastbound Hyundai Sonata. The Ford’s passenger, Christina Ann Keller, 29, and the Hyundai’s occupants, Melissa Ann Nelson, 45, and a sixteen-year-old, were transported to Welia Hospital for treatment.

The drivers, John Damian Logas, 27, and Nelson, reported no injuries and were wearing seatbelts. The Pine and Kanabec County Sheriff’s Offices, along with Welia EMS, responded. The crash remains under investigation.
