White Plains, NY (September 17, 2024) – Two women were killed, and two children injured when a Tesla crashed into an apartment building on Monday morning, September 16. The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. on Battle Ave when the vehicle lost control, hit a curb, a tree, and then the building. The car and the building caught fire, trapping the women inside the car.

The victims were identified as 70-year-old Millie Ortiz Sheehan. The driver, and 36-year-old Diana Trochez Sheehan, both of Hartsdale. Two children inside the building sustained injuries and were treated at the scene. A nearby jogger was also injured by debris and taken to White Plains Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
