Westminster, SC (February 4, 2025) – A man was flown to a burn center in Augusta after being rescued from a house fire in Westminster on Tuesday morning, according to local fire officials.
The fire broke out at approximately 8:20 a.m. in a home on Skyland Dr. The Westminster Fire Department responded to the scene with assistance from the Seneca Fire Department. Fire crews worked quickly to contain the blaze, which reportedly started in a bedroom of the residence.
Two people were inside the home when the fire ignited. One individual suffered severe burns and was airlifted to the burn center for further treatment, while the other person escaped without injury. Officials stated that about 20 percent of the house sustained fire damage.
