Westfield, NY (October 18, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred early Friday morning when a Dunkirk man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while walking on Route 394. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received reports of the pedestrian and motor vehicle accident around 1:21 a.m.
Upon investigation, authorities determined that 37-year-old Andrew T. Seelbinder was walking along the road when he was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer. Despite immediate medical attention, Seelbinder succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the collision.
No charges are expected to be filed in connection with this incident as the investigation continues.
