Initial reports indicated that the pedestrian was moving at the time of the incident. Upon arrival, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACOFD) began assessing the situation. The pedestrian, described as wearing dark clothing, including a black jacket and brown pants, was reportedly heading towards the Century off-ramp.
The incident led to the closure of several lanes on the northbound I405 as authorities worked to manage the scene and ensure the safety of all involved.
