West Forks, ME (January 28, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred on Route 201 in Somerset County on Sunday night when a pick-up truck collided with a tractor-trailer, leading to the death of one individual. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident at approximately 7:48 p.m.
The investigation revealed that Todd Bouchard, 62, of Madison, was driving a 2024 Ford F150 northbound on Route 201 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a southbound tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer, registered to Domi Express, Inc. from St. George, Quebec, was driven by 43-year-old Marc-Andre Lehoux, who was not injured in the crash. The truck was hauling paper products at the time of the collision.
Bouchard, the sole occupant of the pick-up truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. Route 201 was closed for nearly five hours as law enforcement officers conducted their investigation. Agencies assisting at the scene included Maine State Police, the West Forks and Bingham Fire Departments, and local deputies.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
