Webb, AL (March 10, 2025) – A tragic crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck early Monday morning resulted in the death of a young woman on Highway 52 East in Webb.
Emergency responders, including the Webb Volunteer Fire Department, Webb Police, Ashford Rescue, and the Houston County Sheriff’s Department, arrived at the scene in the 6000 block of Highway 52 East, just east of the Furnie Folks Road intersection. Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of the passenger car deceased at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as 21-year-old Reagan Colleen Brewer. Reports indicate that Brewer was traveling westbound on Highway 52 when her vehicle veered across the center line into the path of an eastbound semi-truck.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Webb Volunteer Fire Department requested mutual aid from the Dothan Fire Department Technical Rescue team to assist with extrication efforts. Emergency personnel worked at the scene for several hours, and Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd later arrived to complete the investigation.
The roadway remained closed for an extended period as Houston County Sheriff’s deputies and a certified reserve deputy assisted with traffic control. Ferguson Wrecker deployed heavy-duty wreckers to aid in the scene cleanup.
The crash remains under investigation by the Webb Police Department with assistance from Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Troopers.
