Waupun, WI (March 3, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision early Saturday morning claimed the life of a 20-year-old driver from Menomonee Falls, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Highway 26 near Neitman Road when the driver of a southbound passenger vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semitruck. Witnesses reported that the car had been swerving in and out of lanes moments before the impact.
Authorities identified the victim as 20-year-old Alexa Dunn. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The semitruck driver, a 64-year-old man from Randolph, sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital before being released.
The highway remained closed for approximately four hours as multiple law enforcement agencies investigated the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that alcohol may have been a factor, but an official determination is still pending.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Alexa Dunn, and we extend our thoughts to all those affected by this tragedy.
