Watertown, CT (March 8, 2025) – A crash involving a car and an ambulance left at least one person seriously injured Saturday afternoon on Route 8 Northbound.
According to reports, the accident occurred in the area of exits 34 and 38 around 12:30 p.m. Watertown Fire Department crews responded to the scene and confirmed that a Thomaston EMS ambulance was involved in the crash.
One victim was transported on a trauma alert to Waterbury Hospital for emergency treatment, while the initial patient in the ambulance was transferred to a second responding ambulance. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine what led to the collision.
