Washington County, WI – Semi-Truck and Car Crash on CTH M Results in Fatality

Washington County, WI (September 12, 2024) – A tragic collision between a semi-truck and a car resulted in one fatality on Wednesday, September 11. The crash occurred shortly before 4:00 p.m. on County Trunk Highway M near Trading Post Trl in the Town of Trenton. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered the driver of the sedan unresponsive inside the vehicle. 

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Conversely, the semi-truck driver did not sustain any injuries. Preliminary findings from the sheriff’s office indicate that the sedan collided with the rear of the semi-truck’s trailer, which was stopped in the eastbound lane delivering equipment. The sedan driver seemingly failed to notice the stopped truck in time to avoid the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, conducted by the Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
