Highway Accidents in Rhode Island
High-speed crashes on major highways like I-95 often lead to severe injuries and multi-vehicle collisions, particularly when one vehicle loses control and re-enters traffic. Factors such as driver distraction, road conditions, and sudden maneuvers can contribute to accidents of this nature.
Collisions involving stationary vehicles, like tractor-trailers parked on the shoulder, present additional hazards, as the impact is often severe. Airbag deployment, whiplash, and injuries from secondary collisions are common in these types of crashes.
Authorities continue to urge drivers to remain alert, maintain safe speeds, and avoid distractions to prevent highway accidents.
