West Valley City, UT (December 22, 2024) – A two-car crash in West Valley City on Saturday night resulted in one fatality and left two others hospitalized, according to local authorities. The collision occurred just after 8 PM at the intersection of 4100 South and Mountain View Corridor.
Officials report that a vehicle traveling westbound on 4100 South ran a red light, colliding with another vehicle traveling southbound on Mountain View Corridor, which had the right of way.
A 60-year-old female passenger in the westbound vehicle was extricated from the car and transported to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the same vehicle, a 30-year-old woman, was critically injured and remains hospitalized. The solo occupant of the southbound vehicle was also transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
