West Harris County, TX (January 18, 2025) – A man lost his life on Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Highway 6 near Bellaire Boulevard, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. as a 70-year-old woman was driving northbound on Highway 6. Authorities reported that the driver struck a man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s, who was crossing the roadway. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver did not appear to be speeding or intoxicated. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
