Volusia County, FL (December 11, 2024) – A 19-year-old woman was tragically struck and killed early Wednesday morning on International Speedway Boulevard in Volusia County. The crash occurred around 12:40 AM near Kepler Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Daytona Beach woman was walking in the outside lane of International Speedway Boulevard when she was hit by an SUV driven by a 38-year-old man from DeLand. The impact of the crash resulted in the woman’s death, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was uninjured. FHP officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
