Head-On Collisions in Michigan
Head-on crashes, like the one in Volinia Township, often result in serious injuries due to the force of impact. These accidents frequently occur on rural roads, where narrow lanes and lack of median barriers increase the risk of vehicles crossing into oncoming traffic.
Factors such as driver distraction, fatigue, or road conditions can contribute to centerline crossings. Authorities stress the importance of remaining alert behind the wheel, especially on undivided highways. Defensive driving practices, such as reducing speed and staying focused, can help prevent these dangerous collisions.
