Victorville, CA (December 19, 2024) – A fatal multi-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday evening on SR-18 near Acanthus St, just west of Victorville. The crash involved at least four vehicles and tragically resulted in one confirmed fatality. Emergency responders worked extensively to manage the scene and provide assistance.
The incident was reported at approximately 6:24 PM as a head-on collision. Initial reports indicated two vehicles involved, but later updates confirmed a total of four vehicles, including a white Toyota Camry, a gray GMC Yukon, and a black Ford Bronco. The collision led to significant lane closures, with all traffic shut down in both directions for several hours.
Emergency crews, including Victorville Fire Department personnel, arrived on the scene to perform CPR and assist other victims. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles, and the road was reopened later in the evening.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and other local authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
