The accident occurred just before 10 PM at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Amethyst Road, according to officials from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and coroner’s office.
Authorities identified the deceased as 22-year-old James Vasser, who was driving a Kia Soul at the time of the collision. The Kia was involved in a head-on crash with a Chevrolet Tahoe. Despite emergency responders arriving quickly, Vasser succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
