Van Buren, AR (January 3, 2025) – A tragic single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 East in Crawford County claimed the life of one person and left another injured early New Year’s Day. The accident occurred at approximately 2:20 AM near the 1.4-mile marker of I-40 East.
According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree. The driver, identified as 39-year-old Haley Foreman of Van Buren, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, 43-year-old Jacob Adian of Keller, TX, sustained injuries and was transported to Baptist Hospital Fort Smith for treatment.
The weather was reported as clear, and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. The body of the deceased was taken to the Crawford County Coroner’s Office for further examination. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
