Utica, KY (February 18, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to an accident involving a pedestrian on East Harmons Ferry Road in Daviess County on Monday evening.
According to dispatch reports, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while on the roadway. Deputies with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene to investigate.
The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities on the scene stated that the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a blood draw as part of a suspected DUI investigation. The driver’s identity has not yet been released.
