Upper Oxford, PA (January 30, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a commercial building fire at Premium Power Services, located at 3285 Newark Rd, on Wednesday morning following reports of an explosion inside the structure.
Firefighters arrived at 10:44 a.m. to find smoke coming from the “D” side of the building. Deputy 21 on the scene requested a working fire dispatch, while EMS was sent to Side “A” to assist an injured individual.
By 10:47 a.m., crews had water on the fire, and by 10:54 a.m., the bulk of the flames had been knocked down. Firefighters continued to check for extensions to prevent further damage.
A medical helicopter was initially requested for the injured victim, with LifeNet 64 given a 14-minute estimated time of arrival. However, due to high winds, the request was transferred to LifeNet 61, which later had a 17-minute ETA. At 11:28 a.m., the helicopter transport was canceled, and the injured individual was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
Fire units cleared the scene by 1:10 p.m., though fire marshals remained on-site to investigate the cause of the explosion and fire.
Our thoughts are with the injured individual, and we wish them a full recovery.
