Union Pier, MI (March 3, 2025) – Several people were hospitalized following a crash involving a semi-truck and a tour bus on Interstate 94 near mile marker 10 on Sunday evening.
The Michigan State Police (MSP) reported that the collision occurred around 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-94 near Union Pier. According to authorities, the semi-truck made initial contact, leading to the tour bus veering off the roadway to the right. The semi-truck subsequently overturned onto its side.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist those involved. The driver of the semi-truck, along with all seven passengers aboard the tour bus, sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, officials have confirmed that none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the factors that led to the incident. Traffic in the area was affected as crews worked to clear the wreckage and ensure the safety of other motorists.
