Turtlecreek Township, OH (January 25, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision claimed the lives of two drivers Wednesday night on Ohio 63 near Ohio 741. The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 PM, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Preliminary investigations by state troopers revealed that a 2012 Mercedes S550 sedan, traveling eastbound, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound 2009 Kia Sedona minivan. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the crash.
The drivers have been identified as 19-year-old Tyler Desparois, who was driving the Mercedes, and Kelly Hitchcock, 33, the driver of the Kia. Both were residents of Lebanon. According to a co-worker, Hitchcock was a mother of several children and was on her way to work at the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Beacon Point Distribution Center in West Chester at the time of the crash. Her colleagues have expressed devastation over the loss, describing her as a dedicated assistant district manager who had been with the company for over a year and a half.
