Tulsa, OK (February 28, 2025) – A 67-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck Thursday morning in south Tulsa, according to local police.
Authorities responded to the scene at East 88th Street and South Delaware Avenue around 9 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found that the pedestrian had been hit by a Dodge pickup truck while walking on the sidewalk and crossing in front of a parking lot exit.
The driver of the pickup, a man in his late 70s, told officers that he was pulling out of the parking lot but did not see the victim. Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators with Tulsa Police’s Advanced Traffic Unit continue to analyze evidence and witness testimonies. The final report will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
