Trumbull, CT (February 9, 2025) – One person has died following a devastating house fire early Saturday morning on Hitching Post Ln in Trumbull.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:17 a.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions throughout the home, with significant structural damage, including a collapse on the second floor.
Firefighters battled the blaze for more than two hours before bringing it under control. Despite their efforts, a resident of the home was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of the family.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local fire officials.
