Trenton, WI (September 18, 2024) – A serious motor vehicle accident occurred Sunday afternoon, September 15 at the intersection of US Hwy 151 and County Rd C in the town of Trenton. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at approximately 4:55 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving two vehicles. The collision involved a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by 31-year-old Jenny Wolc from Waupun and a 2022 Kia Stinger operated by a 53-year-old Middleton man.
According to the investigation, Wolc was traveling eastbound on County Rd C when her vehicle entered the southbound lanes of US Hwy 151, striking the Kia. Wolc sustained serious injuries and was initially transported to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam by the Beaver Dam Fire Department. She was later airlifted to UW Hospital in Madison by Flight for Life for further treatment.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested Wolc for misdemeanor Operating While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant. The driver of the Kia Stinger was not injured in the crash and was released at the scene. The accident and subsequent arrest have raised concerns about the safety of the intersection, and officials are considering redesign plans to improve safety.
