Town of Paris, WI (January 17, 2025) – A tragic collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck occurred early Thursday morning at the intersection of CTH-N (38th St.) and CTH-MB (152nd Ave.) in the Town of Paris, Kenosha County. The accident, reported around 6:00 a.m., claimed the life of the pickup truck driver.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office (KESO), the semi-truck, traveling north on CTH-MB, failed to stop at the required stop sign at the intersection with CTH-N. The pickup truck, traveling west on CTH-N, collided with the trailer of the semi-truck and became lodged underneath. The driver of the pickup truck, a 70-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver of the semi-truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The investigation, led by the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT), is ongoing, though the use of intoxicants is not believed to be a contributing factor. The intersection was closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. as investigators processed the scene.
