Tooele, UT – One Dead, One Injured in ATV Rollover Near Vernon Reservoir

Tooele, UT (September 12, 2024) – A tragic ATV rollover near Vernon Reservoir Tuesday night resulted in one fatality and one serious injury. The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on a dirt road beside the reservoir.

The 53-year-old man was thrown from the ATV during the rollover and was crushed when the vehicle landed on him. The 65-year-old man managed to escape the crash site and seek help.

Emergency responders pronounced the 53-year-old dead at the scene. The other man was transported to the hospital, with no update on his condition.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the rollover and will provide further details as the investigation progresses.
