Thompson, CT (September 16, 2024) – Two ATV riders were injured in an accident on the Baker trails near Wakefield Pond Rd. Emergency units arrived on the scene after both riders were brought out of the woods. Two ambulances and paramedics were dispatched.

One patient was transported to the hospital with advanced life support. A helicopter was requested for the second rider, and LIFE STAR was en route to Quaddick State Park for an airlift.

EMS made the decision to divert to Day Kimball Hospital for a modified landing zone. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the accident. Further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
