Teton, ID (January 10, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash in Madison County claimed the lives of two individuals and left another injured Wednesday evening. The incident occurred just before 5:40 PM near 8000 East and Idaho Highway 33, east of Teton.
According to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 911 calls reporting a severe collision. Upon arrival, authorities found a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2011 Toyota Tundra, both with extensive damage.
The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Madison Health for treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed. Sadly, the driver and passenger of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released, and their next of kin is pending notification.
A two-mile stretch of Idaho Highway 33 was briefly closed Wednesday evening, with deputies rerouting traffic to facilitate the investigation and cleanup efforts. The crash remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, which is being assisted by Idaho State Police, Madison County Fire & EMS, and the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
