Terre Haute, IN (November 12, 2024) – A Terre Haute Police Department (THPD) officer sustained injuries in a DUI-related collision Sunday evening near the I-70 interchange on South 3rd Street. The crash occurred around 7:30 PM while the officer was stopped at a red light in a marked patrol vehicle.
Jessica R. Jensen, 36, of Terre Haute, rear-ended the police vehicle while allegedly driving under the influence. The officer was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Jensen also reported injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Subsequent blood tests revealed Jensen’s blood alcohol concentration was nearly four times the legal limit. She was arrested and faces multiple charges, including:

- Driving with a Suspended License Causing Injury
- Operating Without Financial Responsibility
Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and Jensen was transported to the Vigo County Jail following her treatment.
