Car accidents that result in entrapment pose an increased risk for severe injuries, as victims may be unable to exit their vehicles without emergency assistance. In Indiana, intersections such as East Phillip Ave and North Fruitridge St can be high-risk areas for such crashes, especially when high speeds, failure to yield, or distracted driving are involved.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), collisions requiring extrication often involve serious damage to vehicles, requiring specialized rescue efforts by emergency responders. The risk of injury increases when victims are unable to exit their vehicles quickly due to structural damage, airbag deployment, or vehicle rollover.
