Teaneck, NJ (November 24, 2024) – The Teaneck Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call at approximately 11:20 p.m. Saturday, reporting a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Teaneck Rd and Tryon Ave, according to Jeff Angermeyer, Deputy Chief of Detectives for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officers arriving at the scene found that the vehicle involved had fled, leaving the pedestrian injured. The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where they were reported to be in stable condition as of Sunday morning.
Authorities are investigating the hit-and-run and are working to identify and locate the driver. The incident follows another fatal hit-and-run crash in Teaneck just two days earlier, adding urgency to the investigation.
