Taney County, MO (December 07, 2024) – A tragic crash occurred today on MO-76 at Route F, one mile west of Bull Creek, in Taney County. The incident occurred around 11:00 AM. The crash involved two vehicles: a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle and a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorcycle, driven by a 52-year-old male from Rockaway Beach, MO, was traveling eastbound when it collided with the Chevrolet Impala, which was turning left onto the southbound US-65 on-ramp from Route F.
The collision occurred as the Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 78-year-old male from Merriam Woods, MO, made a left turn. The motorcyclist attempted to brake to avoid the collision but was unable to prevent the impact. The motorcycle overturned, and the driver was ejected. The motorcyclist was transported by EMS to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO, where he was pronounced dead at 12:00 PM.
