Syracuse, NY (September 13, 2024) – Two Syracuse police officers were injured Thursday afternoon, September 12, in a crash on Erie Blvd near N McBride St. The officers were traveling east on Erie Blvd when their police vehicle collided with another car turning from N McBride St.
The officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was assessed at the scene and released.
The crash temporarily closed Erie Blvd East between Townsend St and Almond St, along with a ramp to Interstate 690. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and further updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
