Pedestrian Accidents on California Freeways
Pedestrian accidents on freeways are particularly dangerous due to high vehicle speeds and limited reaction times for drivers. While freeways are not designed for pedestrian use, incidents still occur, often due to disabled vehicles, individuals attempting to cross lanes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
In this case, the details of why the victim was on the roadway remain unknown. However, freeway pedestrian collisions almost always result in severe or fatal injuries due to the force of impact. Investigators will examine factors such as driver speed, visibility, and potential impairment to determine the cause of the crash.
