The fire, located near the cross streets of Reynolds Pond Rd and Mulberry Street Ext, prompted a multi-agency response from Milton (85), Lewes (82), Ellendale (75), and local medics.
First responders quickly arrived at the scene and identified the source of the fire as an extinguished stove. Crews brought the situation under control by 1:14 p.m., confirming no further extension of the fire beyond its point of origin. While the fire itself was contained, EMS evaluated one individual for possible serious injuries sustained during the incident. The patient was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical care.
