Sussex, DE (December 27, 2024) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a crash initially reported with entrapment at the intersection of Lewes Georgetown Hwy and Harbeson Rd in Harbeson on Friday morning at approximately 9:43 AM. First responders, including Milton (85), Georgetown (77), and Sussex County Medics, arrived at the scene to find no entrapment but one patient with potentially serious injuries.
Despite the severity of the reported injuries, aviation support from DSP Aviation Trooper 2 was not utilized. The injured patient was transported to Beebe Medical Center by ground for further medical treatment.
Traffic around the area was redirected while emergency crews worked to secure the site and clear the roadway. Local authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
