Sunnyside, NY (March 7, 2025) – A devastating fire broke out early Friday morning at a building on 46th Street and Skillman Avenue in Sunnyside, resulting in one civilian fatality and injuries to three firefighters. The fire, which started on the first floor, prompted an immediate and large-scale response from the New York City Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived on scene just after 3:00 a.m. and worked aggressively to contain the flames.
