Sulphur, LA (January 6, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle head-on collision claimed the life of one person and left five others injured on U.S. 90 in Sulphur. The crash occurred around 6:30 PM in the 2800 block of U.S. 90.
The Houston River Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, and Louisiana State Police responded to the scene to assist. Emergency responders transported five individuals with minor to moderate injuries to local hospitals for further treatment. Unfortunately, one person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending family notification.
Authorities temporarily closed U.S. 90 to manage the scene, with the roadway reopening around 7:15 PM. The Louisiana State Police is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
